Cancer Update from Johns Hopkins

AFTER YEARS OF TELLING PEOPLE CHEMOTHERAPY IS THE ONLY WAY TO TRY AND ELIMINATE CANCER, JOHNS HOPKINS IS FINALLY STARTING TO TELL YOU THERE IS AN ALTERNATIVE WAY.

1. Every person has cancer cells in the body. These cancer cells do not
show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few
billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in
their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to
detect the   cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size.

2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a person's
lifetime.

3. When the person's immune system is strong the cancer cells will be
destroyed and prevented from multiplying and forming tumours.

4. When a person has cancer it indicates the person has multiple
nutritional deficiencies. These could be due to genetic, environmental,
food and   lifestyle factors.

5. To overcome the multiple nutritional deficiencies, changing diet and
including supplements will strengthen the immune system.

6.. Chemotherapy involves poisoning the rapidly-growing cancer cells and
also destroys rapidly-growing healthy cells in the bone marrow,
gastro-intestinal   tract etc, and can cause organ damage, like liver,
kidneys, heart, lungs   etc.

7. Radiation while destroying cancer cells also burns, scars and damages
healthy cells, tissues and organs.

8. Initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation will often reduce
tumor size.. However prolonged use of chemotherapy and radiation do not
result in more tumor destruction.

9. When the body has too much toxic burden from Chemotherapy and
radiation the immune system is either compromised or destroyed, hence the person
can succumb to various kinds of infections and complications.

10. Chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer cells to mutate and
become resistant and difficult to destroy. Surgery can also cause cancer cells
to spread to other sites.

11. An effective way to battle cancer is to starve the cancer cells by
not feeding it with the foods it needs to multiply.

WHAT CANCER CELLS FEED ON:

a. Sugar is a cancer-feeder. By cutting off sugar it cuts off one
important food supply to the cancer cells. Sugar substitutes like NutraSweet,
Equal, Spoonful, etc are made with Aspartame and it is harmful.

A better natural substitute would be Manuka, honey or molasses but only
in very small amounts. Table salt has a chemical added to make it white in
colour. Better alternative is Bragg's aminos or sea salt.

b. Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the
gastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting off milk and
substituting with unsweetened soy milk, cancer cells are being starved.

c. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment. A meat-based diet is
acidic and it is best to eat fish, and a little chicken rather than beef or
pork. Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites,
which are all harmful, especially to people with Cancer.

d. A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds,
nuts and a little fruits help put the body into an alkaline environment.
About 20% can be from cooked food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices
provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to cellular levels
within 15 minutes to nourish and enhance growth of healthy cells. To
obtain live enzymes for building healthy cells try and drink
fresh vegetable
juice (most vegetables including bean sprouts) and eat some raw vegetables 2
or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destroyed at temperatures of 104 degrees F (40
degrees C).

e. Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high caffeine. Green tea
is a better alternative and has cancer-fighting properties. Water-best to
drink purified water, or filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy
metals in tap water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.

12. Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of
digestive
enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the intestines becomes putrified
and leads to more toxic buildup.

13. Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By refraining from
or eating less meat it frees more enzymes to attack the protein walls of
cancer cells and allows the body's killer cells to destroy the
cancer
cells.

14. Some supplements build up the immune system (IP6, Flor-ssence,
Essiac, anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals, EFAs etc.) to enable the body's own
killer cells to destroy cancer cells. Other supplements like vitamin E
are known to cause apoptosis, or programmed cell death, the body's normal
method of disposing of damaged, unwanted, or unneeded cells.

15. Cancer is a disease of the mind, body, and spirit. A proactive and
positive spirit will help the cancer warrior be a survivor. Anger,
unforgiveness and bitterness put the body into a stressful and acidic
environment. Learn to have a loving and forgiving spirit. Learn to relax
and enjoy life.

16. Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated environment. Exercising
daily and deep breathing help to get more oxygen down to the cellular
level. Oxygen therapy is another means employed to destroy cancer cells.

Short Story : Dark Night Devil

Dark Night Devil

I cursed the day.  Today is one of the worst days in my life, I thought. Every thing I am doing today lead me into trouble.  To start with, I had a terrible fight with my wife in the morning.  Reason...  who knows... as usual.  I thought I should have controlled my tongue.  I did not take breakfast, not even a glass of water.. That hurt me a lot later.

I went to office.. I was late as usual.. I knew Manager was fuming, I could see the smoke coming out of his cabin..ha.. ha..  What to do ?   He waved his hand signaling me to come inside his cabin.

“Don’t worry Raj... late is our birth right,” commented Rizwani, smiling at me.

I entered the Cabin.. only to find out his smiling face..

“Good Morning Sir..”

“Bad Morning dear.. you are fired.. collect your cheque.. and get lost..”

Even a Earthquake followed by Tsunami would not have given me this  Jerk....

But I was a short tempered man.  I may starve and die but I will not tolerate this. I had my self belief, I knew I can get a brand new job. Hell with this one... especially with this idiot..

“Thanks,” I said, banged the door and went out of the office like a vampire amid stares behind my back.

*****

When I got up from the shadow of a tree in the Park, it was evening 6.00 PM.  The four large I had taken in the afternoon was disappeared.  My head was aching.  I wondered what     next ?.. I hate to go home either..

My mobile rang.  I saw the number, it was a new one.  Wondering who the hell it would be.. I said “hello”  I could scarcely recognize my voice.. it was rough..

“…….”

“WWWWhat…?”

“……..”

“I am on my way.. I will reach there by midnight”

*****

My village was a remote one.  After 9.00 PM, no one can reach my Village.  But I had to go at any cost. The bus dropped me at 10.00 PM in a nearby city.  I thought I might get a transport... a jeep... at least a bullock cart.. No way.. I cursed the Politicians who always promised us light, road, transport, water etc., once in five years from when I was five years old.

I can’t wait till morning, hence, I decided to walk.  The thought of walking 10 long Kilometers to reach my home gave me a shiver.  I cursed myself for not getting a drink.. Crap.. I started walking.

Since I knew the place very well, I had no problem.  After around 5 Kilometers, I looked at my watch.. It said.. 11.45 PM.  I knew the other three Kilometers will be a difficult one.. where I had to cross even a Graveyard.  The thought of Crossing a Graveyard at midnight gave me a feeling of chill crawl up my spine.

*****

When I neared the Graveyard, it was midnight 12 O clock.  Faint smoke of a burnt body gave me a sweat.  I had a look around.  No one could be seen.  The place looked dark & deserted.  Even during the day no one dare to cross the place alone.  That too in the night, even a ghost would not dare to be there alone.  I thought of running.  But I tried to stay calm.  I started a brisk walk.  The abnormal sound of my own feet increased my sweat.  I heard the howling sound of a dog somewhere.  Now I was scared. Scarred enough to run..   I ran fast so as to cross the graveyard as soon as possible.  Suddenly, I heard a hissing sound behind my back for the first time as if some one following me right behind my ear.  My entire body felt a shiver.  I came to a grinding halt and slowly I looked behind.

No one was there… I did not want to stand there anymore. I started running again.  I heard the hissing sound again and again at my back.  I ran faster… the sound followed me… I turned again and saw what the hell was that… I saw a white smoke… a pure white smoke…  I cried loud… but no sound came… I fell down like an uprooted tree… and f..a..i..n..t..e..d.

*****

Narsi.. That is how he was called.  Narasimhan, a local politician.  He was on his way to town in his bike.  Suddenly he spotted a person lying near a well which was covered with bushes hiding the deep water. He looked around.  That place was deserted. He came closer to the well.  Stopped the vehicle  and had a look at the person lying near the well.   He was shocked to find Raj on that pose.  He did not expect that Raj who was working in a multinational company in city to lie near the well that too in this condition.   He went near him.  He placed his hands near his nose.  There was breath.  He was happy to see that Raj was alive.  He tried to wake him up.

“Raj.. wake up.. what happened ?!..”

Raj opened his eyes and saw Narsi..  there was anger in his eyes.  Narsi did not expect this.

He asked Raj again. “What happened Raj ?!..  Why you are sleeping here ?!..”

Raj was on his feet now.  He had an unfriendly look at Narsi..

“Narsi.. Did you think I will not come back.  I have trusted you. You should not have done this to us.  You do not deserve to be here.  Come to our world.”

Narsi.. could not understand a word in it.

“What are you talking about ?!..”

Raj smiled cruelly and without answering his query, he pushed him very hard into the well.

Totally unexpected this Narsi fell inside the well which was covered in bush.   He never came back later.

Raj was looking into the well. Feeling satisfied came near the Bike and pushed it into the Well and walked away.

*****

When I regained consciousness, I was still lying near the Graveyard.  I looked at my watch.  It was  10.00 AM.  The place still looked deserted.  The day light gave me courage.  Last night horror came into my mind.  What a horrible experience.  I was unconscious for the past 10 Hrs.  My god.  I got to my feet and reached my home.  I was very happy to see my mother who was seriously ill yesterday sat in the arm chair. I went near her and on seeing me she hugged with great love.  The hug gave me a much needed comfort.  I could not control my tears and kissed my mother.

*****
Next day local news paper read.

Mystery killings

Nov. 12.  Narasimhan a local politician was found dead in the Deadly Well along with his Motor Cycle.  It is not known whether he was killed or Committed Suicide. The readers may recall that  last week the bodies of Ragini & Rajesh, the local love birds were found killed in the same well in mutilated condition.  Postmortem report later revealed that Rajesh was manhandled and Ragini was raped. Inspector Vijay told reporters that he felt that there was connection between the two incidents and investigating the case.

*****

After attending the funeral of one of my old friend.. Narsi.. a local politician.. who was killed or committed suicide.. I came back to my city after two days.  My wife was very happy to see me back after two days.  She hugged me and said “Sorry Honey.. I will never fight with you”.  I kissed her on her forehead and said “That’s all right sweet heart”.

The end.

Learn how God works

Courtesy: Simple Sundar at onlysuperstar.com
Once there was a sweeper in the Well Known temple and he was very sincere and devoted. Every time he saw thousands of devotees coming to take darshan of the Lord, he thought that the Lord is standing all the time and giving darshan and He must be feeling very tired.
So one day very innocently he asked the Lord whether he can take the place of the Lord for a day so that the Lord can have some relief and rest. The Deity of Temple replied, “I do not mind taking a break. I will transform you like Myself, but you must do one thing. You must just stand here like Me, smile at everyone and just give benedictions. Do not interfere with anything and do not say anything. Remember you are the deity and you just have faith that I have a master plan for everything.” The sweeper agreed to this.
The next day the sweeper took the position of the deity and a rich man came and prayed to the Lord. He offered a nice donation and prayed that his business should be prosperous. While going, the rich man inadvertently left his wallet full of money right there. Now the sweeper in the form of deity could not call him and so he decided to control himself and keep quiet.
Just then a poor man came and he put one coin in the Hundi and said that it was all he could afford and he prayed to the Lord that he should continue to be engaged in the Lord’s service. He also said that his family was in dire need of some basic needs but he left it to the good hands of the Lord to give some solution. When he opened his eyes, he saw the wallet left by the rich man. The poor man thanked the Lord for His kindness and took the wallet very innocently. The sweeper in the form of the Deity could not say anything and he had to just keep smiling.
At that point a sailor walked in. He prayed for his safe journey as he was going on a long trip. Just then the rich man came with the police and said that somebody has stolen his wallet and seeing the sailor there, he asked the police to arrest him thinking that he might have taken it. Now the sweeper in the form of Deity wanted to say that the sailor is not the thief and he could not say and he was greatly frustrated. The sailor looked at the Lord and asked why he an innocent person is being punished. The rich man looked at the Lord and thanked Him for finding the thief. The sweeper in the deity form could no more tolerate and he thought that even if the real Lord had been here, he would have definitely interfered and hence he started speaking and said that the sailor is not the thief but it was the poor man who took away the wallet. The rich man was very thankful as also the sailor.
In the night, the real Lord came and He asked the sweeper how the day was. The sweeper said, “I thought it would be easy, but now I know that Your days are not easy, but I did one good thing.” Then he explained the whole episode to the Lord. The Lord became very upset on hearing this whereas the sweeper thought the Lord would appreciate him for the good deed done.
The Lord asked, “Why did you not just stick to the plan? You had no faith in Me. Do you think that I do not understand the hearts of all those who come here? All the donation which the rich man gave was all stolen money and it is only a fraction of what he really has and he wants Me to reciprocate unlimitedly. The single coin offered by the poor man was the last coin he was having and he gave it to Me out of faith. The sailor might not have done anything wrong, but if the sailor were to go in the ship that night he was about to die because of bad weather and instead if he is arrested he would be in the jail and he would have been saved form a greater calamity. The wallet should go to the poor man because he will use it in My service. I was going to reduce the rich man’s karma also by doing this and save the sailor also. But you canceled everything because you thought you know My plan and you made your own plans.”
God has plans and justice for everyone….we just have to have patience…

A Beautiful Argument about the existence of God.

Prof:   So you believe in God?
Student:   Absolutely, sir.
Prof:  Is God good?
Student:  Sure.
Prof:  Is God all-powerful?
Student:  Yes...
Prof:  My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to God to heal him.  Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill.  But God didn't.  How is this God good then?  Hmm?
(Student is silent.)
Prof:  You can't answer, can you? Let's start again, young fella.  Is God good?
Student:  Yes.
Prof:  Is Satan good?
Student:  No.
Prof:  Where does Satan come from?
Student:  From...God...
Prof:  That's right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?
Student:  Yes.
Prof:  Evil is everywhere, isn't it?  And God did make everything.  Correct?
Student:  Yes.
Prof:  So who created evil?
(Student does not answer.)
Prof:  Is there sickness?  Immorality?  Hatred?  Ugliness?  All these terrible things exist in the world, don't they?
Student:  Yes, sir.
Prof:  So, who created them?
(Student has no answer.)
Prof:  Science says you have five senses you use to identify and observe the world around you...  Tell me, son...  Have you ever seen God?
Student:  No, sir.
Prof:   Tell us if you have ever heard your God?
Student:  No, sir.
Prof:  Have you ever felt your God, tasted your God, smelt your God?  Have you ever had any sensory perception of God for that matter?
Student:  No, sir.  I'm afraid I haven't.
Prof:  Yet you still believe in Him?
Student:  Yes.
Prof:  According to empirical, testable, demonstrable protocol, science says your
GOD DOESN'T EXIST...  What do you say to that, son?
Student:  Nothing.  I ONLY HAVE MY FAITH.
Prof:  Yes.  Faith.  And that is the problem science has....

Student:  Professor, is there such a thing as heat?
Prof: Yes.
Student:  And is there such a thing as cold?
Prof:  Yes.
Student:  No sir. There isn't.
(The lecture theatre becomes very quiet with this turn of events.)

Student: Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat...  But we don't have anything called cold.  We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat.  We cannot measure cold.  Heat is energy.  Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir,  just the absence of it.
(There is pin-drop silence in the lecture theatre.)

Student:  What about darkness, Professor?  Is there such a thing as darkness?
Prof:  Yes. What is night if there isn't darkness?
Student :  You're wrong again, sir.  Darkness is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light....But if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and it's called darkness, isn't it?  In reality, darkness isn't.  If it were, you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn't you?
Prof:  So what is the point you are making, young man?
Student:  Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.
Prof:  Flawed?  Can you explain how?
Student:  Sir, you are working on the premise of duality.  You argue there is life and then there is death, a good God and a bad God.  You are viewing the concept of God as something finite, something we can measure.  Sir, science can't even explain a thought.  It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing.  Death is not the opposite of life, just the absence of it...
Now tell me, Professor.  Do you teach your students that they evolved from a
monkey?
Prof:  If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do.
Student:  Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?
(The Professor shakes his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the
argument is going.)
Student:  Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and
cannot even prove that this process is an ongoing endeavor, are you not teaching
your opinion, sir?  Are you not a scientist but a preacher?
(The class is in uproar.)

Student:  Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor's brain?
(The class breaks out into laughter.)

Student:  Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor's brain, felt it, touched it or smelt it?  No one appears to have done so.  So, according to the established rules of empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no brain, sir...  With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?
(The room is silent. The professor stares at the student, his face unfathomable.)
Prof:I guess you'll have to take them on faith, son.
Student:  That is it, sir... THE LINK B
ETWEEN MAN AND GOD IS FAITH.  THAT IS ALL THAT KEEPS THINGS MOVING AND ALIVE.
